Hiroe is a wonderful teacher. She is patient, encouraging, extremely well prepared and very intuitive. She really understands my Japanese level and makes sure that I am challenged and learning something new every time. I really enjoy individual and group lessons and Hiroe always sets and reviews homework. She really cares about our progress.
I also really enjoy attending the monthly Nihongo Café and meeting other people from around the world who are keen to speak in Japanese. Thank you Hiroe!!!!

Over the past year I’ve really enjoyed studying with Hiroe-sensei. She is happy to tailor our lessons to my requests, which led to fun exercises outside our regular workbook practice, like reading practice using pictures of signs and posters I’ve taken on holiday.
I also really appreciate her connecting her students through supplementary events, like the free Nihongo Cafe or group lessons with other students on a similar level.
Needless to say, Hiroe-sensei is great at explaining the subject matter and often points out additional things to keep in mind or pick up. I’m excited to be taking the steps towards my next big learning go with her support!
